No one enjoys getting junk email. In addition to using the "Report Spam" option within Gmail, UMD email customers may turn on SpamAssassin to reduce the number of junk messages they receive.
To activate SpamAssassin:
- Login to www.umn.edu/dirtools/
- Under "Manage Your Email" select "Incoming Email Controls"
- Select "Scan email with SpamAssassin"
- Select the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page
