Jason Davis is not only ITSS manager of Academic Support and Finance, he is also the jujutsu club's sensei (teacher).
Jason began his martial arts training in 1990. He trained in Shotokan Karate, Tang Soo Do, Judo/Jujutsu and has competed successfully in competitions. While all of these experiences have been enriching, Jason's focus is on Danzan Ryu Jujutsu and Judo. Jason attained his AJJF Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in Dan Zan Ryu Jujutsu, training under co-sensei Ward Melenich and Sohn Wehseler. Jason is also certified in Seifukujitsu, the healing aspect of Danzan Ryu. In addition to teaching Jujutsu at UMD, he currently trains and assists at the Kuroinukan & Duluth Judo Club.
