Ten Years Ago in ITSS: IP Telephone Service Implemented
The 2003 move of the Minnesota Extension Service (MES) offices to the Cloquet Forestry Center (CFC) location was a major factor in implementing Internet Protocol technology. The old phone system at CFC could not support the expansion needed for the staff. All CFC and MES staff were provided direct 726-numbers. Internet Explorer 9 is now available
Internet Explorer 9 is now available in Software Center. This is optional software but will allow users to upgrade if they choose. This update will require a reboot. If users run into compatibility issues, it is possible to run IE9 with IE8 compatibility mode, or administrative rights will be required to remove the update and move back to IE8.
