Institute of Physics's IOPscience express allows you to view and download the latest papers to appear in IOP-owned journals. You can also search for articles published by IOP over the last two years, and email information about selected articles to yourself or a colleague to enable access to the article from a desktop computer.

As a service to authors and to the international physics community, all papers published in IOP journals are made freely available online for 30 days from the date of online publication.

The Department of Energy Office of Scientific and Technical Information mobile site
OSTI Mobile searches U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) scientific research results in a wide variety of disciplines and in multiple formats. The citations and full-text reports are drawn from a number of OSTI databases, including Energy Citations Database, DOE Information Bridge, ScienceCinema, DOE Patents, and DOE Green Energy.

Science.gov searches over 50 databases and over 2100 selected websites from 14 federal agencies, offering 200 million pages of authoritative U.S. government science information including research and development results using a single query. Results are grouped by subtopics, authors, or dates to help you target your search.You can download text and export results in RIS format.

A search links to results in the various databases many of which are not as mobile friendly as the site is.

SCIRUS is an Elsevier maintained website. SCIRUS is a research tool for finding scientific information and evaluated "Preferred web" sites. It searches over 440 million indexed scientific items. Included are not only journal content but also scientists' homepages, courseware, pre-print server material, patents and institutional repositories and websites.

ISI's Web of Knowledge is a site that combines search access to Biosis Previews, Biological Abstracts and the Web of Science. The mobile site is at http://m.webofknowledge.com.libproxy.umcrookston.edu This mobile site is aimed at the phone users. A tablet would be better off using the full site in most cases.

The standard Web of Knowledge site does not recognize mobile browsers as such so the Web of Knowledge mobile site must be accessed directly. Access to full text and links requires authentication either by IP (on campus) or username/password log in (off campus),

BioOne's website (http://www.bioone.org ) recognizes that you are using a mobile devise to access and transfers you to its mobile interface.

The SpringerImages app searches the SpringerImages database of photos, diagrams, graphs, figures and tables taken from Springer's ebook collection and journal portfolio . Search image captions, keywords and references to locate an image.
