Catalog listing of records has changed

Once again over the summer the UMC Library catalog software was upgraded. The only noticible change is that the brief record view has changed. The new view puts the links to online resources on this initial results page.

Like most choices there is a trade-off, since this new view requires more vertical scrolling to see the results than the former default view. You can switch to the former display by clicking on the display option to "Table view" above the search results. Switching to the "table view" display creates a short list of items with call numbers which can be used to locate books in the stacks.

This change is most useful when searching the Crookston Catalog Plus Internet Resources which contains many records with links to ebooks, ejournals and other online resources. You can link to the text without the additional step of opening a link to the full catalog record.
