New Databases Last Summer

Last spring we acquired three new databases. Official access to two of the database began in July . These are Gale's Biography Resource Center and Small Business Resource Center .

From Ebsco came GreenFILEā„¢, a new complementary database

GreenFILEā„¢ covers aspects of human impact to the environment Including global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. The UMC Library's FindIT linking service links citations to the text of many of the journal articles.

Small Business Resource Center Topics include how to start, finance or manage your small business. Resources include sample business plans, how to guides, articles and websites. It is particularly useful for ENTR 2200 Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management.

The Biography Resource Center contains 450,000 biographies on more than 380,000 people. Search for people---both current and historic from all eras and fields of endeavor---based on name, occupation, nationality, ethnicity, birth/death dates and places, or gender, as well as keyword and full text.
