New @ UMC Library

The UMC Library has added the Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) to its list of databases.
At present GVRL consists of the electronic versions of over 100 Gale Reference titles: The titles cover a wide range of topics. Some examples of titles: Gale Encyclopedia of Genetic Disorders; Contemporary Hispanic Biography; Cities of the United States, Encyclopedia of American Religions; Endangered Species Protecting Biodiversity; National Survey of State Laws and others. Searching is easy and the results vary from several paragraphs to longer article with tables and graphic,

UMC Library has five Kindle electronic book readers from Amazon.. We have a Library Kindle page which gives the details and lists the books available on the Kindle. Request a Kindle at the Circulation Desk. The loan period is four weeks which should be long enough to read a book or two during the busy school year.
