We want to welcome the new international students who will start this spring.
The UMC Library is a part of the International Student Orientation's "How to Fare' and will provide information about the Libraries services and resources.
We look forward to meeting all of you and helping you with your research needs
We have three new Garmin 5-Inch screen GPS units and two of the older TomTom GPS units to help you find your way to your destination.
We have a four day loan period but we will generally work with you if you need more time.
The UMC Library participates in the Minnesota, North Dakota and Federal tax forms deposit program. These deposit programs are changing. The IRS is no longer sending out packets with the forms needed to file to individuals. North Dakota is sending only a basic packets and any expects filers to print any additional forms online. Minnesota's forms are also online:
The tax changes in late December caused delays in the publication of forms and we are still getting and filing forms.
The UMC Library's print forms are kept near the Library Circulation desk.
UMC Library has made the switch to delivering requested InterLibrary Loan articles electronically. Prior to this we had printed the artilces off and held them for pickup. We are now converting them to .pdf format and delivering them electronically.
You no longer need to come to the library to pickup articles you have requested just click the link and download.
It is paperless -- Good for the environment.

The UMC Library maintains a database of its print journals and magazines. The 2009 version is available as a printed booklet and online. The list includes information about whether a journal is scholarly (from Ulrich's Periodicals Directory) and if it is available online. It also indicates if back issues are available at the Library as microfilm or microfiche.
The UMC Library Print Periodicals booklet has been distributed to faculty. The remaining booklets are held at the Library Circulation Desk for use by faculty, students and staff. If you need a copy see Krista Proulx at the Library.
The online version is linked from the Library Website's Periodicals page as UMC Print Periodicals List. The Crookston Catalog - On Campus Materials has records for current print periodical titles and information about the individual issues
Find a Full Text Electronic Journal - Use this page to find if UMC Library provides online access to a specific periodical title. This is part of
the UMC Library Linking service.
The UMC Library website has changed. The look has been updated and simplified. We added a login for offsite users (it is useful for everyone actually) and an automatic link to the New@UMC Library blog.
The old familiar links remain although many have been edited or rearranged.. Many thanks to Amber Bailey and Anders Berggren for their help.
