The Internet lit up today with announcements and blogs about XenDesktop 5 and its official release. The announcement was made at the Citrix Synergy event in Berlin, Germany. If you've been following along, this news probably comes as no surprise. I think it was one of the worst-kept secrets in my recent memory.
I will say I don't think the buzz is misplaced, as it appears they've moved forward with many features that will serve production services in large institutions quite well. I'm definitely interested to see how they implemented their monitoring and PowerShell integration. The official announcement reports that the install files will be released during Q4 of 2010.
