This blog will chronicle the May term abroad experience of 10 undergraduate students from the College of Design at the University of Minnesota. There are 8 architecture students, one interiors student, and one landscape architecture student. Through an active engagement and exploration, the students on this program will examine the architecture, landscape architecture, and urban morphology of Florence, Italy as it has developed over the past two millenia. The course is structured around a series of topics that will provide a framework to examine how the city has been built, transformed, and represented over time.
