Walter Workshops Zotero and EndNote

This week Walter Library will be featuring two workshops on two different citation managers Zotero and EndNote.

Zotero is a free citation manager that works with the Mozilla Firefox web browser. It can store citations and generate bibliographies. You can download a free version of Zotero and learn more about what it can do at

The Zotero Basics workshop gives you an opportunity to learn about the features of the tool, get some hands-on experience using it and ask any questions you may have to our knowledgeable librarians.

The class is tomorrow: Tuesday, February 2

EndNote is another citation manager but this one you have to purchase (you can get a student discount at the Coffman Bookstore). It's a little more robust than Zotero and it isn't tied to any particular web browser.

If you're interested to see what EndNote X3 has to offer, our workshop will walk you through the basics of importing citations, linking to full text and using Cite-While-You-Write to format in-text citations.

The EndNote Basics workshop is
Wednesday, February 3
Walter Library 310
10:15-11:15 (with an optional 11:15-11:45 hands-on portion)
