Hello!

We're shuffling some responsibilities here at the Physical Science and Engineering Library and I'm taking over liaison responsibilities for the Civil Engineering Department. My name is Jon Jeffryes, for the past year I've been the liaison for the Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering Departments here at UMN. Prior to that I was an instruction and reference librarian at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

I look forward to working with you. Feel free to drop me an email, give me a call or drop by my office. I'm happy to consider book purchase requests, help with reference questions or collaborate on ways to integrate research and information evaluation skills into your assignments.

Here at Walter I teach workshops on Google for Researchers, RefWorks, EndNote, Zotero, Creating Posters in Powerpoint, and Engineering Research Skills. If you're interested in attending on of these or one of the many other workshops we offe,r you can visit our workshops web page. I can also bring any of these workshops to your classes, meetings or labs.

This blog will be my way of keeping you informed of library events, services, and collections. If you have anything you'd like to learn more about, let me know and I'll be happy to write an entry.
