This computer policy change will only affect guest users. That is users who are not currently affiliated with the University as students, staff or faculty.
Starting next week (I believe the start date is currently set for Tuesday, July 19) guest users will need to stop at a service desk to sign up for a guest account to use library computers in Walter Library. Guest/Community users will be limited to 2 hours of computer usage a day.
Students, faculty and staff should not encounter any change in their computer using experience here at Walter.
Alumni are considered Guest Users.
Just a heads up on this change in policy.
There are some options (such as subscribing to Special Borrowing Privileges Access Friends of the Library) to gain more access.
