Student suspect in child pornography case reported missing

A University of Minnesota student charged with distributing child pornography was reported missing Saturday, said University police Chief Greg Hestness.

Keaton Patrick Murphy, 20, was released from the Hennepin County jail Thursday night, according to the Star Tribune. His friends and family members have not seen him since.

Parents of suspect Keaton Patrick Murphy, 20, told the Minnesota Daily they fear he is suicidal.

"We're worried sick," said Rochelle Murphy.

According to the Star Tribune, the University of Minnesota Police Department is investigating the missing persons case.
