On page 22 2Sarah Banet-Weiser talks about how the producer of Dora the Explorer designed the show. One consultant says that Dora is the global citizen whose ethnicity is specific but whose appeal is racially nonspecific. He says Dora was "a crossover-phenomenon and the product of a slow evolution in television." My question is: Do you think there are any other examples of a characters such as Dora as seen in this crossover-phenomenon and the product of a slow evolution in television?
