After reading, "Introduction to Media Literacy" I have a much better understanding of how to interpret the different types of media that I see every day. Actually seeing definitions and seeing the skills that are possessed by media literacy provides much more clarity to the media, something that I consider to be very general. It is interesting that they included the different types of persuasion techniques and how they are meant to impact us as readers or viewers. What I also found intriguing was the key concepts for deconstructing the media and also questions to ask.
The discussion question that I have is: "What are the steps to the process in deconstructing a media message and by deconstructing it, what can we gain from the message?"
