Hello fellow art students,
As some of you may have already heard the buzz about an "Open Studio"
event which is in the works, I wanted to give you a special invite to take part
in this great opportunity. Your fellow Art and Design students are putting
together an "Open Studio" (like an open house) that will allow the
public and other students the opportunity to see our amazing artwork and the
studios we produce it in! All art majors are welcome to participate! The
studios and organizations that are participating include Art Education, Art
History Symposium, Photography, Digital Design, Ceramics, Sculpture,
Painting/Drawing/Printmaking, Digital Arts and SDO (Student Design Organization).
This event also gives us fellow Art and Design students the opportunity to see
what the other area's are doing since we are spread over campus.

"Open Studio" will be held coincidentally during the local Galley Hop, which gives this
event great potential. The Tweed Art Museum on campus is part of this
"hop" and there will be a trolley service that will bring art
enthusiasts from the downtown galleries to our very own campus. As a bonus the
Annual Student Exhibition will be held later the same night. The open studio
can also be seen as another opportunity to present any artwork that is not a
part of the Student Exhibition.

Here are the dates and times:

"Open Studio" Saturday April 16th 11:00am-5:00pm

Reception for Student Exhibition April 16th 6:00pm-8:00pm

There will be more information to follow that can be found on our handy Face
book page:

It's especially huge to show up this time.

They'll also be an opportunity for you to meet with the team during their visit, and I'll send that out later.
