What is this place called Texas?
Oh my do I have some news. However, I'm hoping some of you dogs out there might be able to help me out. Joan says that we are moving to a place called TEXAS. I know I have never been there. Last summer we went to: Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and North Dakota. And I barely ate the whole time.
Now Joan is telling me we are not only going to drive to Texas but we are going to live there - like our new forever home. How can I ever ever say goodbye to my home sweet home? Joan did some funny stuff and said I'm going to have to mix my Minnesotan love of snow with a new Texas flair - something like this:
Do you, good dog friends and humans live in Texas? We are going to Austin, Texas.
Now there is some good news in this. I have two dog cousins who live there and they are named Bella and Brandy. Joan says they have a big water hole in the back - like when we were in Bakersfield, CA - and I know I'll wanna go in it! I guess Bella and Brandy don't go in there. They are crazy to not love the water!
I can tell you one thing - I'm gonna miss my big dog park with all my dog friends there. But I bet I'll make more friends in Texas!

Best of luck to you, Bosco, and Joan too! Austin is a pretty hip town and I'm sure you'll have fun there, especially with family nearby. Will you continue blogging, though?

I hope you continue to tell us how your life is in Texas. Tell Joan that she gets to keep her UM id (I believe) for free, which means continued access to your blog...

Austin is great! Hey, I (Lola) also moved from MN to TX. I don't know how you can live in MN -- come on -- getting your little paws freezing all the time in that white stuff? Of course, you're a big dog & I'm just a little chi.
Seriously, Austin is a great place for dogs. Quite a few dog parks, you can take your dogs with you to quite a few restaurants (on the patio), places to swim, the mighty TX dog walk, agility, and lots more!

You've done quite a lot of traveling! It'll be good to settle down in Texas. My Dad is from Texas, near Austin actually, and he says it's wonderful. It can get a little hot though, but that's when you turn on the sprinklers and run through them!
