A week with Heidi
Well, a couple weeks ago, Joan packed my stuff up ... I saw the bag come out and she put my food, my bowls, a towel, my ball thrower, my treats, my ear and allergy medicine, my peanut butter all in it. Then she put my bed in the car ... so I followed her out to the car and sat in the backseat even while she was doing other stuff. Then got in the car and drove into the Hill Country ... and it took a while because there was traffic cuz it was a Friday night. Anyway, we got to the house I remember because we've been there twice before. Heidi lives there and so does her mom and dad and brother. AND a dog, a beagle! We could hear the dog parking at us, but no one was home. Joan made a call and the next thing we knew Heidi and her friend appeared with her dad and we got to go inside. Joan talked with Heidi for a long time and I was sniffing around. Then Joan left!
I couldn't believe she left me, but Heidi is pretty cool. But one day she got sick and her brother took care of me. I also got to sleep on her bed (wow, Joan should let me do that) and I even slept on her bed WITH their dog, Kona, too. Pretty good. They have a big pool in the backyard but I did not get into it.
The next thing I knew - Joan showed up and took me home. I was so EXCITED to see her, as usual, I jumped up and gave her lots of kisses. It was a pretty good week, and the whole family said they'd take me back again. The mom said I was the SWEETEST dog! Keep it coming! I love compliments. (I AM a good dog, though, Joan told me just today.)
