Dog BONES

Guess what Joan did last night?

Picture of freshly baked dog bones

Yep she made yummy, yummy dog bones. WAY better than the ones that come from the box. These have real chicken in them and really yummy chicken broth, too. They smell SOOO great and taste even better.

Sorry I've been gone for so long. It has been a busy summer - with Joan working a lot so I don't have access to the computer as much as I would like! I do have some stories to tell so I'll try to post them soon.

Ace would love those! You are lucky your human makes you home-baked goodies! How did she make them?

I've made homemade treats for my dogs, too, but don't have a dogbone cookie cutter - where did you find yours?

The bone recipe is on this site: http://blog.lib.umn.edu/joanh/dogblog/072739.html

This time Joan added in read bits of chicken. She also wanted to add apple but she forgot to do it (she would mash it up and mix it in). She froze the cookies since they do not have any preservatives in them - otherwise, they would get moldy, I guess. She just takes out two every night for me and lets them defrost and then YUM YUM I get to eat them.

She got the cookie cutter at a kitchen shop.
