Wow, I did not know this! It's definitely a new way for me to think about GPP. We may not be able to do this with users given how we handle users, but it's something to do for computers.
FWIW, users have to be a member of a ton of groups for to get truncated. But it's good to be aware.

The recommendation is for computer filters, not users. The issue they see is logon performance, if the computer is a member of a large number of groups and GPP filters are used. This should be encouragement to cleanup unnecessary group memberships.
It should also be worth noting that we can increase the size of the kerberos tokens, if that becomes an issue.
