Multi-Car Pileup in Los Angeles
The Star Tribune reported that a terrible pileup occurred in Los Angeles inside an interstate tunnel Friday. Two men died as well as an infant. 10 other people were injured in the pile up that included over two dozen cars and trucks. The pileup caused many traffic problems and delays. The pileup was so bad that he interstate (Interstate 5) has been shut down since the accidents, and is planned to be reopened on Monday.
The LA Timesreported that the interstate would be closed until at least Tuesday, the interstate is used by over 225,000 vehicles a day. The pileup was so bad because it included 15 trucks, and the entire tunnel had erupted in flames. The fire burned throughout Saturday as well.
