one month

10.23.01--one month

i'm sure that you are on pins and needles wondering what exciting news i received from kendra.

you are all in for a big letdown. it's only the least bit exciting to pathetic anti-socialites with overactive imaginations (like myself).

see, there is this boy. (that's how it all starts...) we'll call this boy "terry." a few facts about terry:

--he is wicked smart (please stop me from saying "wicked" from here on out, okay?)
--he has a smartass sense of humor
--he was a radio dj
--i first met him when we both performed in sex, drugs, rock and roll (his monologue was the best. bar none.)
--he designed the soundtrack to the last play i was in
--our backstage conversations often revloved around music or freaky internet porn
so terry is, basically, my dream guy.

now, i feel the need to point out that i am in no way obsessed with this boy. in fact, outside of these few facts, i know relatively little about him. but, oh my was it fun to have my little crush.

terry graduated last winter with a degree in communication and besides a brief encounter on campus, and a run-in he had with kendra at a video store, i have heard very little about what he is up to.

well... apparently kendra has heard, through a mutual acquaintence, that he has picked up and moved to scotland where he is working in a pub!

kendra thinks this is very exciting. she is all for me making out with terry and has it in her head that i should contact him and meet up with him in london or paris or something.

uh sure. so i'll email him and say what exactly?
uh hi. remember me? i had a crush on you. you still owe me a copy of that soundtrack you designed. and um, even though we lived in the same city for years and never dated, i figured that us both being in foreign countries on the same continent was as good excuse as any to hook up. how about it? which side of the channel?
hey. it might work.
