Breeze Comments

For me it is difficult for me to write about how Virtual Breeze went because I was not there or able to participate. But talking with my group members on Tuesday, it sounded like it was fairly difficult. I believe that this was for a number of reasons. Mainly because of technical difficulties which left the team lead out of the main discussion. I believe if he was able to be in the room, something would have been accomplished. It does become difficult when trying something new for the first time in which no one has experience. From the way it sounded on Tuesday, we also are just going to meet in person to do the rest of the assignment, just so we can do a better quality of job. I do think however, that if this were a long term team, the benefits of Breeze would be alot more. We are just lucky that all of our group members are in college and have fairly flexible schedules.

I enjoy your positive attitude! In response to Goleman, you mentioned, "He offers up a outline of ways to deal with situations and to become a star." What a great way of looking at Goleman. I do think that Goleman could arm us with more solutions; however, I also agree with you that the context of a given situation is irreplaceable. I'm impressed with your positive outlook, and I know employers will be as well. You will definitely be a star - just keep in mind all that you've learned in the process and, especially, while you're on top.

I'm sad that you didn't get a chance to experience Breeze or participate in our discussion on virtual teams. You may want to think about virtual teams in your profession - what are the pros and cons? How will you maximize the pros and minimize the cons?
