It's a rambling archive of our family's activities over the previous year. And our 2010 GLOG is served with an extra dollop of chagrin, due to it's late delivery... but just under the wire of Twelfth Night. (whew!)

The year began with a charming trip to the Bay Area
where we roamed the steep hillsides
soaked up the local culture
and meditated
on the beginning of a new era
It
was
a very very very
looooooooong winter
into spring
Spring finally arrived
in
late April
Rockin
like a Battle O Bands!
After nine years ...
JJ said goodbye to the halls of Holy Rosary
and to his
white polo shirts
and
to
his
khaki
pants
!!!!!!!!!
We love living by the greatest of lakes
where there is plenty of opportunity for young lads to get into mischief...
like stealing off in a kayak
or building a DIY hot tub...
with smoldering rocks rolled from the fire
Cornucopia provides natural wonders
like woodland orchids
and carnivorus wet lands
We treasure and protect this precious heritage
and realize how little has changed over the beers...
(I mean, years)
By August we were ready to revisit past lives in Seattle
Joellyn reunited with some Geoduck gals
Rob had an Invisible reunion
and JJ retraced the footsteps of a true American Idol
The summer ended with a trip to the Minnesota State Fair
I'd been threatening to take Rob for years...
Somewhere between the seed art and the butter sculptures, he was converted
New school year,
new school
and some new musical challenges...
like how to juggle
...the indie trio
with the marching band ? !
with the ...Colossal Musical Extravaganza Thingie
(aka: East High School Holiday Concert)
We are especially thankful for the sweet times spent with family and friends over the holiday season...
when Grandma comes to visit
and we gather around a beautiful table
or share some ancient family recipes
sister to sister
or try cookin up something "different"
really different !
yep. good times.
Making the best of our infinite winters...
Rob has been a cheerful trooper
and now he's ready to head off and study Digital Culture in Bergen Norway !
(that's the beauty of the internet)
We hope you (and your bandwidth)
