Semester Blogs for Digital Studio
Here's what I expect in your Digital Studio Blogs: Each assignment from the semester as an entry, with a description of your research, ideation, process and final product. Please upload a small image of each project and include links to research and noticing!
You also need to blog about your chosen digital artist from the text, Digital Art by Christiane Paul.
Please post a detailed overview about the work of this artist, including:
Background info on the artist + their work
Description of their digital art
Context + category of their work in the book
A specific work you like
How their work might influence your digital art
In the next week or so, update your blog for others to visit.
Please check the class list and make sure you post comments on the blogs of 3 classmates directly beneath your name on the list.

Israeli artist Romy Achituv, born in 1958, studied philsophy, sculpture, and interactive telecommunication in Jerusalem and New York. He works and resides in Brooklyn, New York, Seoul, South Korea, and Israel. His collaborative work with American artist Camille Utterback, "Text Rain" (1999), is an acclaimed interactive piece featured in Christine Paul's book, Digital Art. Text Rain allows viewers to stand before a projector casting their shadows into the projection which contains colored letters falling like rain. "The letters are stopped by anything darker than a certain colour value, they 'land' on people's shadows and can be caught, lifted, or let fall through the movement of the users' hands, arms, and bodies." (Paul 191)
