I have notice many different things changing around us lately; everything from tv commercials to billboards and magazines. The websites I am posting are from you tube. They are some HP commercials, as well as a creative way to advertise with billboards. I always thought it would be a good idea to put advertisements on the road itself, not next to the road. Anyways, here are some cool ways people are catching our eyes.

i was recently introduced to "my robot friend", and their music video for "walt whitman." it's risqué. in terms of design, i like how simplistic it is, yet effectively entertaining. the rhythm is encapsulated in the flash animation, and for some reason, it just appeals to me. i think it's really creative.

I noticed a very fun coke commercial. It's very creative with the way a vending machine produces a coke bottel. It's very fantasy like and fun.

a new digital trend in social work is digital portfolios at adoption clinics, and texas has a program that you can watch videos of each child you would want to adopt.

a new trend in social work is at adoption clinics digital portfolios are used for each case, and videos of each child are kept so future parents can view children online. This is not in minnesota yet, but texas was one of the first to convert to digital portfolios.

I found this commercial for ipods and itunes on the apple site. I thought it was a very unique way to show the product without any personal relationship to the people in the add. It's very vibrant and creative.

I know most people recognize Jay Z for many of the HP commericals but I saw an amazing one the other day on Shaun White
doing a HP commerical. He's a professional snowboarder and a gold medalist so it was cool to see him on there. I thought it was really entertaining to see it on YouTube also! I thought it was a better, fresher new design to the HP commercials.

This sand art is incredible! The artist's advertisement work can be seen in the most recent Quest commercial.

Something that I have noticed is the uprising of projection art, or artists simply lighting rooms with a single colored light running along the wall or floor to give the room an almost overpowering sense of vibration and mood. I've seen these rooms at the galleries I've visited in Paris. the link I have to share is of a projection on the Arch of Triumph, either the one in Paris or Rome - I didn't look closely enough... It's an amusing and interesting site because it instructs people how to set up a projection.

I've noticed that in the visual literacy world the use of the Victorian flower and line. Particularily in the band world and the more contemporary design. (e.g. Napoleon Dynamite...the background on the given site)

The things that I have noticed are the movements to the not so perfect. I like a more raw look so it makes me happy to see the changes.

This is the Jeep Compass ad on tv. It uses bobbleheads as the characters instead of actors, and they use current or "trendy" music. It's different from every other advertisement on tv, and it's comical.

on the Napoleon Dynamite site, go to the Official site, and then the Multimedia section.

I have been noticing many clever car commercials recently. Instead of using shots of the car driving fast on curvy roads, they are using some interesting digital video effects.

It shows the new media in Sports how they advertise to us using wallpapers for computers and backrounds. It's pretty sweet.

Saw this this morning, a couple of electrical control systems engineers stumbled on it and showed me it. Apparently it was refrenced in one of their seminars.
