Documenting Place > GD1 Final Project

Teams comprised of four Graphic Design 1 students set out to investigate and document mile long stretches of the Duluth Landscape. Teams selected their own locations and designated roles for the project > project manager, typographer, photographer and illustrator. Each team will create a final work that communicates an experience of place. Materials and techniques may be experimental, but the work must be at least 12 feet in one direction. The collaborative work should demonstrate the principles of unity and surprise.

Portfolio 1on1 > studio tours

If you plan to attend Portfolio 1on1 next weekend
I found out how the studio tours work...

Each student will get assigned to a group and that group will go to 3 design firms. Some groups will be walking tours and some will ride a bus and walk back to Solera. They should dress for the weather and plan on walking. It is not far but it wouldn't be to much fun in heels or something like that :)

You'll have to look for parking in one of the ramps near Solera.

Minneapolis', Aesthetic Apparatus was founded around 1999 in Madison, Wisconsin by Dan Ibarra and Michael Byzewski as a fun side project from their "real" jobs. Over the years their limited edition, screen printed concert posters have secretly snuck into the hearts and minds of a small, rather silent group of socially awkward music and design nerds.
