Shoot Studio is Open!

The Art & Design Shoot Studio is now open for the Spring 2013 academic semester. It is located in the VisLab and can be accessed by School of Fine Arts Students and Faculty. If you wish to use the studio, please use the sign-up sheet (located on the VisLab door) to sign-up for a date and time. Our hours for the month of February and March are as follows:

Monday's 4-7pm

Tuesday's Closed
Wednesday's 6-9pm
Thursday's 5-8pm

Friday's 11am-9pm

Sign-In Sheets

Starting this semester (Spring 2012), students are required to fill out a Sign-in/out sheet before OR immediately after using the shoot studio.
This is so that we can keep tabs on how many people actually use the studio and what equipment gets used most often. It is also to ensure the security of the shoot studio equipment, in case something gets damaged, lost or stolen.

How to Reserve Studio: Students

Sign-up Sheet:
There is a sign-up sheet on the board outside of the Art & Design office (HUM 317). Sign your name and designated time that you plan on using the studio in one of the time slots.
Please be courteous about showing up promptly for your scheduled time. Please notify the scheduler (or erase/cross out your name) in ADVANCE if you need to cancel your shoot (this means prior to the actual shoot studio hours, not the time you are signed up to shoot).
There will be a 10 minute grace period before the room is offered to someone else. Open time slots will be offered on a first come / first served basis to students on that day.

note : The Shoot Studio is ONLY open for SFA students, though they may include outsiders as models or actors.

FALL 2011 hours for Art + Design students:
Thursday evenings 7pm - 10 pm
Friday afternoons 12pm - 3pm
Students may request a 1 - 3 hour block of time.

When Using the Studio

Please leave the room cleaner than you found it:
Please do not use food or drink within the studio. This will prevent accidents and spills on any of the equipment, including backdrops. Also, please do not walk on any of the backdrops; they need to be kept clean.
Please handle equipment with care.

Before Leaving the Studio:
-make sure all of the photo lights have been turned off
-unplug all of the photo lights
-pick any litter and/or props
-put all of the equipment back where you found it
