Bonds Signs Contract with Giants
After nearly two months of debate, Barry Bonds signed a contract Thursday agreeing to a one-year deal with the San Francisco. MLB.com is reporting that Bonds contract is a guaranteed 15.8 million dollars for next season.
The commissioner's office approved the deal on Thursday. According to CBC Sports, Bonds will report to Giants spring training on Monday.
The Associated Press is reporting the deal contains a clause that states the Giants may terminate Bonds contract if he is indicted for perjury in the BALCO sterioid investigation.
