First Entry

I'm really not sure if I'll use this on a regular basis. I'd like to think that I will. I'm going to try to use it in the same manner that I'm asking all of you to do journals for me in your class.

Here's what I'm hoping to do with this blog.

First, just write what comes to mind. I'm not going to make any big effort to make sure I systematically cover anything in particular. If I mention something completely, good. If I don't, no problem. So don't look at this blog as a place where you go to "find" information from me.

Second, I'd like to write about the classes I teach. I'd like to reflect on my lectures and let you know what I think after a class.

Third, I won't be using this to direct comments at ANY students. This is just a place where I'll talk generally about my thoughts.

Fourth, I won't limit my blogging to the courses I teach. If something else comes up, I will feel free to write about that as well.

We'll see how this goes...
