Venezuelan presidential election to include opposition leader

Henrique Capriles Radonski, Venezuelan opposition leader, announced on Sunday his candidacy in the Venezuelan presidential elections set for April 14, news sources reported.

Capriles also denounced Friday's inauguration of President Nicolas Maduro in Sunday's televised address, stating Maduro's inauguration was a "constitutional fraud," Voice of America said.

Capriles also claimed Maduro and the government of lying about the health conditions of Hugo Chavez, former Venezuelan President who died Tuesday after a two year battle with cancer, in order to benefit politically, according to USA Today.

Capriles lost to Chavez in last October's presidential race, and analysts do not believe he has much chance in this election, USA Today said.
