Boston bombing suspect responding to police

The surviving suspect of the Boston bombing was awake and responding in writing to questions on Sunday evening, news sources reported.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, is recovering from bullet wounds in the neck and leg after his capture on Friday, CBS News said. He was pulled wounded and bloody from under a boat in a backyard in Watertown after his brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan, died in a gun battle with police earlier that day.

A law enforcement official told USA Today that Tsarnaev is providing "substantial" information to investigators, though they declined proving any specifics about the information and questions.
