For those of you who are interested in this sort of thing, Business Week has an article on Sugar, the operating system for the $100 laptop.

It just goes to show what the real costs are in electronics. The markup is quite high. I wonder if we will see these machines in the US. There are plenty of educational systems that can't affor computers for their students. I didn't see who was funding the program. Is it non profit?
