I agree with you that podcasting is going to increase as students use their own computers and university computer labs. I agree with you that it is a good way to connect students and to help people who are not enrolled in classes to learn for the sake of learning. I don't think that podcasted lectures will replace classroom education. The classroom experience and education stems beyond just listening to the lectures; many more factors go into providing people with a good education.
