Oh, O.J...

According to CNN, former football star O.J. Simpson, 60, is accused of taking sports memorabilia from a Las Vegas hotel room Thursday.
Simpson said that he was tipped off that his stolen items were for sale in the room by two men, so he went to the room with a group of his friends, with one of his friends posing as a potential buyer.
He said that his friends helped him carry his stolen sports memorabilia out of the room and that no guns were involved.
Las Vegas police announced Sunday that Simpson will be charged with a total of six counts of robbery, assault, burglary, and conspiracy.
Simpson said a robbery did not occur and that he is innocent. He also called the incident a misunderstanding
According to MSNBC, Simpson said that those items belonged to him, and that he didn't want to get the police involved because he found them unresponsive to him ever since his murder trial, in which he was charged and found guilty in 1994 of the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
“The police, since my trouble, have not worked out for me,? he said, noting that whenever he has called the police “It just becomes a story about O.J.?
* MSNBC's article was written by the AP, whereas the CNN article was not. The CNN article provided more background information on Simpson's past history with the law, while the MSNBC focused on providing more detail on what occurred Thursday night in Las Vegas.
