Burns Entertainment & Sport Marketing seeks an intern in sales division for spring semester 2010.

Internship is full-time, mid-January thru mid-May in Chicago

They are looking for exceptional students interested in sales with a love of entertainment and/or sports.

Burns works with the nations largest PR Firms, Corporations, Advertising Agencies, Universities, Associations, and Not-For-Profit Groups, helping them select and hire celebrities and athletes, bringing campaigns and events to life.

Sales interns work in the Corporate Partnership Division developing and implementing portions of new business initiatives, reporting directly to V.P. Business Development

The benefits of this internship include learning how to cold call; research companies and contacts; learn the ins-and-outs of developing a prospective client from its infancy through the entire sales process; as well as client management. Not only will this experience improve sales skills, but it will enhance your ability to recognize a new business opportunity, and capitalize on each prospect. Upon completing this internship, you will have a better understanding of the business world, and be fully equipped in order to seize your place on the sales side of it.

World Instructor Training Schools is looking to immediately fill a position for fitness educators/professionals to teach a Personal Trainer Certification class at Minneapolis Community and Technical College on weekends/weeknights. Orientation Leaders implement Freshman Orientation, Transfer Orientation and the 2010 Welcome Week. Additionally, Orientation Leaders work as a team to recruit and train a volunteer team of over 400 Welcome Week Leaders. We offer exceptional training that will challenge and motivate you through extensive personal development experiences. The position is an excellent way to gain valuable leadership experience, develop interpersonal skills, meet motivated and exciting people and make a difference in the lives of thousands of new students.

Minnesota Timberwolves seek Premium Seating Intern

The Premium Seating Intern is responsible for assisting the Premium Seating Department - Executive Suites, Club Cambria and Lexus Courtside Club- with the execution of projects, game-night tasks, and day-to-day needs. Overall this position will be a support to the direction that the Premium Seating Department is headed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the Premium Seating Department to develop collateral, create client events, implement new client initiatives (sales & service)

  • Assist Premium Seat Coordinator with website/newsletter content

  • Implement game-night tasks, initiatives, and events

  • Assist Premium Seat Coordinator with client communication, ticket distribution

  • Assist Premium Seating Department with prospect mailings & meetings

  • Assist Premium Seat Coordinator with database management & sales tracking/reporting

Qualifications, Education and Experience:


  • Must be at least a junior or senior in college

  • Must be able to receive college credit for professional experience gained

  • Proven record of achieving goals working in a team oriented environment

  • Detail oriented

  • Proficient writing and communication skills required

  • Proficient computer skills required

  • Strong customer services skills required

  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings weekends, and holidays if necessary

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds
