The YMCA of Greater St. Louis is a not-for-profit, charitable organization committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Our facilities include 17 traditional YMCA branches throughout the St Louis area. Through membership and programming based on our Core Values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, the YMCA strives to provide services to all people - regardless of age, background, ability or income level.
Our internship positions have been specifically designed to provide students the opportunity to integrate classroom learning with real world experience. We offer several opportunities in the fields of Health and Wellness, Exercise Science and Fitness, Youth Development, Education, Sport Management, Marketing, Recreation, and Nonprofit Administration. Interns are teamed with professional directors and other YMCA staff to plan, implement, execute and promote selected programs at one or more branch. While we cannot offer a stipend, YMCA of Greater St Louis internships offer in depth opportunities for training and professional development.
