Orientation was grand

When I stepped out of the car, it felt like fall...what a great way to arrive back on campus.

Orientation day with my fellow Health Journalism graduate students was inspiring and informational. Leyla Kokmen provided useful information and insight, University Libraries staff explained some of the multitudes of resources available to us and faculty members engaged us in interesting conversations.

Meeting my adviser, Mary Story, PhD, was an added benefit. She is extraordinarily well-educated and well-spoken, and provided words of encouragement and guidance as I begin the program. I'm very much looking forward to meeting with her the second week of school to develop my education goals, degree plan and to discuss my capstone project.
