Last semester I wrote this horrible paper on the great topic of reductionism.
The greater portion of our semester was spent expounding on this one wonderful observation: "Conversation is a stack." For example, topics can be embedded. Upon concluding an embedded topic, we will return to the 'containing' topic; that is, conversations exhibit recursion. How meticulously it was amended into this ugly unusable thing, in the name of some 'greater breadth of truth'. Page after page of exceptions and appendages, like if you were to grind your pigment fine enough, your painting would cease to be 'just' a painting. I like the painting.
