Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler confirmed on Wednesday that they are Season 10 judges and will be joining Randy Jackson on American Idol's Panel.
In addition to the ever popular panel, Jimmy Iovine of Interscope Geffen A&M Records, joins the cast in the role of a permanent mentor reports MSNBC.
Even with celebrities as judges, Idol still faces a crossroads due to the exit of Simon Cowell and his crossover into his new show, "The X-Factor".
"It could all go horribly wrong and end faster than anyone would expect, or it could be reborn and extend its life for years." Said pop-critic Glenn Gamboa of Newsday.
USA Today reported that the pair will initially spike ratings, but the rest is unknown.
