Wedding ceremony & reception happen Saturday, August 12, 2006 in Minneapolis.
Ceremony starts at 5:00 pm at Loring Park Neighborhood Center (see map for
directions).
Reception follows at Solera Restaurant (see map for directions).

This is the best option, and where most people will likely stay. Nice, centrally located. The rate is based on availability. Rates are under the Healey/Knight block. Parking is $12/24 hours.

Fine budget hotel. Free parking. Rates are under the Knight/Healey block, and reservations have to be made by July 21. They blocked off singles and doubles, smoking and non--let us know if they don't have what you want and we can add to the block.

If you want to stay somewhere totally swank, with a great bar. Apparently the executive rooms have better views and special bathrooms. These rates are under the Knight/Healey block, and reservations have to be made by July 12. Parking is $28/overnight for valet, or $19/overnight around the corner in the Block E lot, on 7th Street.

Ceremony
There is some street parking (metered and non-metered) available on Willow Street, 15th Street, and other side streets around Loring Park. Alternately, there is a parking ramp on 14th Street between Spruce and LaSalle. For people staying at the Hyatt, the Loring Greenway is a nice 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to the park. See this map—the Hyatt is marked at B6, and the Loring Park Neighborhood Center is on the edge of the big lake, between B7 and B8. The Loring Greenway, as marked, connects them. The parking ramp is at B7.
To get to Solera from the park, take LaSalle Avenue heading North. Turn left on 9th Street, and Solera will be on your left as you cross Hennepin Avenue.
Reception
There is some metered street parking on 9th and surrounding streets. There is a parking ramp on 9th and Hawthorne, just one block past Hennepin. Also, Solera offers valet parking (attendants are on the 9th Street side). On the map linked above, Solera and nearby parking are marked between A5 and B5.
