I think I'll get around to my post this about a few books I've found interesting...but for today, let's see what we have for new DVDs:

The 4400 - The Complete Third Season

Battlestar Galactica: Seasons 2.0 & 2.5 A repackaging of the second season in one set.

Because I Said So

Cagney & Lacey - Season 1

Catch and Release

Daniel Boone - Season Three

Deliver Us from Evil (2006)

Everybody Loves Raymond - The Complete Eighth Season

The Guns of Navarone (1961) The WWII film gets the SE treatment.

Jason of Star Command Yes, now you can own the complete 1979 series...

Music and Lyrics (2006)

The Painted Veil (2006)

That '70s Show - Season 6

That Thing You Do! - The Director's Cut

Voltron: Defender of the Universe: Vol. 3

The Waltons - The Complete Fifth Season

And finally, Warners has announced the release date for Hamlet (1996) as a 2 disc set (also being released in HD-DVD and Blu-Ray) on 8/14. This will be the first time the film's been on DVD and it's long overdue. They're also including it in a Shakespeare box set on the same date; click here for more details. I have to say that this is the first HD release that will seriously tempt me to make the HD disc plunge.

Cagney & Lacey?! I forgot about that show!

Jason of Star Command? I really liked that one... even when they did inferior knockoffs of Star Trek plots! Plus, I think Jimmy Doohan was in it...

Wow, Hamlet '96. The greatest film of all time by the way you've been going on about it for 10 years! I'm sure when I finally see it, it will live up to your hype.

Well, not so much the greatest film ever...but still very good (if you're up for sitting through a 4 hour film!) and something that should have been out on DVD long before now. Another reason I go on about this film is the fact that it was the last feature film shot entirely in 70mm. I got to see it projected that way a while back and was blown away by the visual look; another reason for me wanting it in HD.
