Someone needs to explain to me WHAT is good about Bush?!?!? I don't agree with anything i have heard he agrees with. I honestly don't understand why anyone would vote for him. I am pro-choice and i understand why people who arent would vote for him, but other than that what does he have going for him? His other policies make no sense! Kerry all the way baby -marie b.
Posted by buch0228 at September 14, 2004 12:59 PM | TrackBackI would be very interested in exactly what policies the author disagrees with. I don't think that it is fair to say all of his policies make no sense, when no policies were listed. For example, one of the policies that I disagree with is the withdrawl from the Kyoto protocol, an international accord used for the purpose of protecting our environment. Though, I believe that man made global warming and other environmental problems are over-exaggerated, I think that it is necessary to have policies in place that show that we at least care about protecting our environment.
Posted by: Ben at September 14, 2004 02:18 PMBush isn't that bad is he? I like to hunt and so does George. I even saw him on a hunting and fishing show once. Kerry wants gun control especially at gun shows and such. Because that is where criminals get their guns. gun shows. yeah. Bush is not the best president by any means, but I believe it is a vote for the better of the worse. Kerry likes to say things and then change it later in his campaign. I guess Kerry is going to provide health care for all Americans though so that would be really good, right? Good Luck. I will probably go ahead and vote for Bush unless someone presents a good reason for me not to.
Posted by: Mayer at September 15, 2004 09:03 PMOne word: Iraq.
Bush has intentionally mislead the American people about the reasons to invade Iraq. And, even when multiple reputable sources have proven him wrong, at no time has Bush apologized. This shows a serious lack of character, and I do not believe that such a person should be allowed to govern our country.
One glaring example is his assertion that there was a link between Saddam and al-Qaeda. This has never been proven, and in fact the FBI disagrees. The New York Times reported on February 2, 2002:
"At the Federal Bureau of Investigation, some investigators said they were baffled by the Bush administration's insistence on a solid link between Iraq and Osama bin Laden's network. "We've been looking at this hard for more than a year and you know what, we just don't think it's there," a government official said."
There are many more examples. John Stauber's book, "Weapons of Mass Deception," documents them very thoroughly. I would suggest you read that book before you decide to vote for Bush.
Posted by: Tyler at September 17, 2004 04:38 AMI would also be very interested in knowing why Tyler thinks that it is okay for a place like Iraq to exist. By a place like Iraq, I mean a place where women are killed for sport, children are starving, and men are battered for even thinking of speaking freely. I understand that your argument was meant to discredit your president, but come on, to let torture chambers like Iraq exist is only to promote terrorism and that my friend is where the link comes in. A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist. If you can not see that Saddaam is a terrorist, you cannot see that OBL is a terrorist, then you should open your eyes to the real world.
Posted by: Ben at September 18, 2004 07:57 PMI completely agree with you I can figure out why people like Bush. I am as pro-choice that you are going to find. The fact that someone wants to tell me what to do with my body from all the way in Washington is completely absurd. I liked what Kerry said at the March on Washington in March that “women’s rights should remain out of politics” . That comment guarantees Kerry my vote in November. If Bush wins I think I will move to Canada.
