I like Bush

Hello friends, well I just wanted to throw my spin off the Presidential Election. I am in favor of Bush. I feel he has done a great job during his 4 years. In the upcoming election, I am going to vote for George W. Bush as opposed to the majority of the Kerry supporters here. The reason I favor Bush is because of Kerry's platform in terms of Medicare would harm us financially. The reason being my family is comprised of mainly Doctors and it would be even harder to make a living considdering how hard it is with Medicare already. I admit that George W. has messed up here and there but I look at it as a perspective that he is more like a normal human being and not a machine. Im not going to bash Kerry even though I could, but I am a Bush fan so even though we are the minority, I still support HIM IN FULL.

You make a good point, however how can you say that Bush has only made mistakes here and there? His administrations environmental policies are not ones that we want for 4 more years. Some examples of what they have done can be found on this website: http://www.nrdc.org//bushrecord/

I understand your concerns about your family, but think about the families that need that help and are in more need than you. Sorry I’m not trying to attack you I just want you to think about the rest of the United States because we are going to get this President for the next 4 years also. I just wanted to point out another policy that Bush has started, which is the no child left behind policy. This policy states that at the end of each school year a child must pass a test, an over view of the year. If the child dose not pass then that child dose not go on to the next grade. That isn’t the bad thing, the bad thing is that he made it mandatory to teach this but he didn’t supply the funds so that it could be carried out. Also the teachers whose students don’t do well are in turned punished, and the students that do well the teachers are in turn rewarded. The problem with this is the lower income schools don’t have the finances to teach this policy in full affect, so it becomes a downward spiral that if you are in poverty to begin with you will remain that way. Stated in Kerry’s platform he is going to change it so that if the Government makes it mandatory to teach something then the government must

No child left behind is definately not the best idea that has been put into law. The concept is not as easy as it sounds. Not every person learns at the same level as all others, and by thinking so could very much hinder the learning process for many. Some people may not have the ability to achieve what the government will require them to achieve and they will be punished for it. I think it is a joke especially without proper funding.

On the subject of medicare...I worked in a Pharmacy for the last three years and actually dealt with the senior citizens with no current income that are shelling out up to $500 for only 30 days of medication. There has got to be some way that we can take care of these people, even if it means that physicians with six figure incomes have to give up a small portion of their salary. Plus, medicare only covers a portion of diabetic testing supplies so seniors are on their own for the rest of the prescription drugs. If we dont do something about this problem NOW, it will only be worse when we are senior citizens..
