I think Oprah is the coolest person alive. She is famous and still has time to care about people and help them if they have problems. It seems to me that she is always giving away something to people in hard times. I think it is totally awesome how generous she is for giving out all those cars to her studio audience. There are a lot of people living in poverty but there would be many more if it wasn’t for Oprah and her kindness.
Posted by lind1287 at September 20, 2004 10:12 PM | TrackBackThere is no doubt Oprah has done much to improve the lives of many people through her generosity. But let us not forget that she is getting publicity for her show by giving things away and increasing the demand for tickets to see her show which keeps her ratings up. Her generosity is also a marketing opportunity. What really makes Oprah rock is her ability to inspire others to come up with ways to help their community and others. It takes a world not just one person! I sure wish I was in that audience on car giveaway day!
Posted by: Shari Lynne at September 21, 2004 02:34 AMI am one I am sure of many. That love Opras weight loss. How ever I feel I am few of meny. Ok Weight loss, great for those who eat too much. How about those of us who really do not eat much at all but are over weight due to our poor choice. Every diet I have ever red supressed our eating. Well I have no proplem there. Tried weight watchers and too me 3 weeks to even eat 18 points, never mind the 26 points I had to choose from. I am just not an eater... Most of the public will not ever notice that of me if they looked at me. I only mostly eat supper and that is because I believe in a family dinner time. I eat (as my husband would say a birds portion) I am so tired of all the weight loss programs being geared at "the grand amount of food people eat." How they have to learn how to eat small portions. That is not at all always true. People like me have to learn how to eat any portions at all. There is no help out there for people like me. I am sure I am not alone. We all look like we can suck down a pint of icecream but, little known we could hardly get down one scoop. Maybe our lives are too busy or something of that nature. All I know is I am not an eater and all diets are made for over eaters. Where could someone like me find help? Is there maybe a survior that will only take fat people? (that was just a joke) because I can last days with out food and not miss it. Give me coffee atleast once a day and I will be ok. I don't crave anyother food. So why am I big. Please point me in the right direction. I have no where to turn. I could care less to eat but, I am big HELP!
Thank You,

I love you, and your show. You are America's sweetheart. God has blessed you with many gifts. He has also blessed me with wonderful creativity. I came up with a Holiday tribute for the families of 9/11. I doubt wether, even you and your staff could pull it off this year, but maybe next year. I think you will really love this one. Please have your people get in touch with me if you are interested. Thanks,
JC
Thank you, jc

Havent, said this may i ask her of a favour, i came from Ghana in W Africa and we almost had the same problems expecially where i hail from-Upper Region(northern part of the country).I got into USA in September 2005,did a CNA programme in December and have registered for the LPN programe in September,09 2006.
I would be blessed and thankfull to Oprah and also to God if Oprah in her good wisdom and self personal/possitive judgement could strech her helping hand to me and my beloved village in Ghana.
THANKS IN ANTICIPATION, GOD RICHLY BLESS OPRAH.
Dear Oprah, I just want to personaly thank you for all that you do. You make miracles and you are a miracle yourself. I really get inspired by your shows to keep living day by day because I, myself deal with physical discrimination. For, I was born with a disease that totally ruined my legs. However, there is nothing wrong with me mentally at all. Nonetheless that doesn't mean they still don't discrimanate me and keep me from doing what I want to do, and it hurts really, really bad. If it were at all possible I would at least love to meet you or even talk on your show. Because, with my life, when I grow up, I want to help the underestimated people that have gone through any kind of discrimination. And thank you soo, sooo, much. God bless you and all that you do!!!!
