GMOs: What's your take?

GMOs are very contriversial. They have been introduced in recent years and used in many different applications. GMOs are designed to modify organisms to have all desirable traits. In agricultue, they have been used to modify almost all crops in one way or another. They are used to resist pests, increase yields, etc. Many people believe GMOs are the answer to world hunger. Others believe GMOs are bad because they believe it is like playing God. At any rate, I think there needs to be lots more research before we use them in huge quantities.

I don't think that GMOs are the answer to world hunger. There is more than enough food to feed the world at present time, however, the distribution of the food is the problem. On continents like Africa and Asia there is not a distribution network that would make food available to those that don't have it. Getting back on the topic of GMOs, I do not think that their introduction into our agricultural field followed the extensive research necessary before such a large step was taken.

I am definitely one of those people who think that playing with God's creation is the wrong answer. The fact that we are changing things that we know only little about could have repercussions that are ever changing. Before we do something so drastic as this we really need to take a step back and think of all the implications of doing this.

I agree that playing god is the wrong answer. by genetically altering to obtain desirable traits we are mixing up the genetic makeup that is so evenly made up. If we continue to do this at what point are we going to alter genetic makeup to completely evolve a particular gene which would mean that we need to alter other genes to keep up. All of which is a never ending game of catch up and discover. I feel we need to aknowledge the privelage we humans have to experience this life and should let god play it out as it was intended.

I think that there should me a lot more testing on GMOs before we should be allowed to eat them. Since we basicaly know nothing about them i think that this is a dangerous product. At least i think there should be some sort of lable placed on the products that we buy the geneticaly modified so that we can chose weather or not we want to eat them.

I think that plying whit nature it's only not good and it can be dagerous, but it is also good for people in places that they don't have food and where little kids that don't have what to eat. Just imagin your two year old suffering of hunger, maybe you can't because you may have not lived in a third worl country like, Africa, Central America, etc. That it's just my belive and you shold think about it.
