Access to technology has been an issue for quite a while. Do students have access to technology at school? Do they have access at home? Tapscott points out how some corporations are providing access to technology in some impoverished areas. Which also raises other concerns as far as supervision, training of staff and upkeep of equipment.
It would be interesting to see what new research says about the digital divide. While I am sure the divide is still there, has there been any progress reducing it?
