According to the Star Tribune, police say that on Saturday a Vulcan Crew truck backed into a parked car and retaining wall. Police also say that this truck was being used for the cities Winter Carnival when the incident occured.
Police told 5 Eyewitness News that a witness saw the truck back into a parked car, and even though the witness shouted to the driver, the truck continued to back out.
The Star Tribune reported that witnesses tried to get the truck's driver to provide insurance information, but the attepmts failed and the driver left the scene.
According to 5 Eyewitness News, the registered owner of the truck told investigators he did not remember hitting the parked car.
Both 5 Eyewitness News and the Star Tribune reported that the case was turned over to the city attorney's office.
