ALIEN

They call you an alien, not of this country.
They put you down because they blame you for their problems,
They say you should go back to your own country,
but why preach of the beauty of this land,
why talk about freedom if it is not there to give?

They make you work and call you a slave,
They beat you up and rape your women,
They treat you like you are not human.
If you are not a human then why do you look alike,
for we are human,
for freedom we will fight.

They tell you to fight for their country,
if you do you will have a place to live,
a place to call your own,
but what good is a place when they tell you what to do,
how to live your life?
If you fight for their country will you ever be equal,
will you ever be known for who you are,
not what color you are,
not where you came from,
to be able to have full freedom?
